Dreaming Bear Retreat is a private residence and sanctuary on a pristine 8+ Acre parcel studded with beautiful, lush woodlands, meadows, valley, and mountain views, located just east of the Lake of the Woods neighborhood, about 30 minutes north east of Seattle.
A new 5000 sf primary home is being constructed on the eastern portion of the property, to take advantage of the amazing views of the Cascade mountains, and beautiful sunrises visible from the primary bedroom.
Like Gail’s former projects, her “trademark” turret is present in this building as well, located in the best spot to take advantage of the snow-covered mountain peak views. This round stone turret will serve as the spiral staircase from the main level down below to the lounge, guest wing, as well as to the old-world wine cellar.
From the main level, climb the staircase up to the office and to a magical bookcase that, when opened (via hidden remote control), reveals a windy staircase to the top of the turret.
There, you’ll find a hidden room illuminated with amethyst crystal walls, stunning 360-degree views from 7 tall windows, and the ceiling adorned with fiber-optic twinkle lights. There’s even a door to provide outdoor access to the clover roof!
